David is an agricultural and mechanical engineer with more than 33 years of practical experience in a wide range of environments from design to decommissioning of in-field and post-harvest machinery, working with manufacturers and distributors of fixed and mobile equipment, as well as as an independent consultant, working alone or as part of a team. He has worked in 16 countries and is highly skilled in the areas of fault diagnosis and problem solving, sometimes in challenging situations.

He has considerable experience in resolving technical and contractual problems, and warranty claims and machinery operation investigation. He also has skills in Risk Analysis and the assessment of environmental impacts of agricultural developments, working for the World Bank, European Union and USAID as well as commercial businesses.

He is qualified to Royal Institute of Public Health Advanced Level in HACCP food safety systems, particularly for application in post-harvest handling and storage facilities.

With colleagues, David has written publications on crop storage and the state of agriculture in a range of central European states. He has undertaken investigations into machinery and installation failure, health and safety, and mechanical issues in agricultural environments.
